I am totally still here!

Hi stampers!! I just wanted to drop in and let you know I am still alive! I have had my hubby home for two weeks and we haven't had much down time. Let me fill you in a bit:

First, we are looking for a new home! Exciting...but stressful! We are on the fence about where we want to be. Not that we would move far but I want to make sure that we are in a place that we will want to be forever! Yes...for those of you that know us...we have moved alot...and believe me...we are tired of it. I found my DREAM house but not crazy about the location. So...trying to think things through and make the right decision...and it isn't always easy. Ok...it is never easy!

On top of that, I have a job interview tomorrow! I am totally freaking a little bit! I haven't worked in 6 years! Wait...I haven't worked for an employer for 6 years but I have actually worked my booty off for the last 6 years otherwise.....
I had a phone interview last week, which was a little intense because I am not the best about answering mystery questions on the spot. And tomorrow is the face to face....
I am teetering back and forth with going back to work. I think it will be good for our family in some ways and I would have more stamping money! But...my routine has  been centered around kids and housework for the last 6 years! What am I going to be walking into???? I keep saying if it is meant to be...it will be.

We celebrated my sons 12th birthday early this past Saturday. We surprised him with his new wheels:

Yep..I have all boys! And this is the kind of stuff they love! He has had a dirt bike since he was about 6.

Luckily as he outgrows them...they pass right on down to the the other two boys!

We have had some beach time to! The weather has been beautiful so outdoors we have been! I love this time of year.
Unfortunately, I have had very little stamp time the last two weeks but have managed to squeeze in a little time for some inky fun! But I better get my rear in gear because I need to work on swaps for convention! I can't wait for that getaway!
Here is a card I cased from the Stampin' Up! blog. It is so simple and I LOVE the nautical look!

The original can be found here.

Thanks for stopping by!

A Loving Heart

Hi stampers!! Just wanted to share I card I made using the Hearts a Flutter stamp set! You'll be happy to know this set is carrying over to the new catalog! I have used this set alot and I love it because it comes with the matching framelits! The More Amore designer paper is not carrying over however. :-(
This inspiration for this simple layout came from Stamping School. I used the honeycomb embossing folder and More Amore designer paper. I added some pool part ribbon, which was a Sale-a-Bration item. Stamped the images and cut them out with ease using the matching framelits. Punched a heart using our small heart punch. Of course, I couldn't make a card without some accessories...so I added some rhinestones! Thank goodness...those are carrying over as well! Phew!

You can purchase these products in my online store anytime and have them delivered right to your doorstep!

Seriously!

I sure feel like I kicked booty today! Ok...I didn't do anything "out of this world" awesome...but I did get the mountain of laundry folded that I have been putting off! Yes...that is a huge accomplishment for me here lately! I have been so blah...just don't have much motivation. Maybe because I am really just tired..mentally. Missing my Hunny (in case you didn't know, he is an oilfield guy so he is gone alot). And although I am used to him being gone alot-and it's been this way for us between the Army and now the oilfield, I am just getting tired....and sometimes I just need a little pick me up.
On top of the laundry that I FINALLY got folded...I did my first day of the C25K (Couch to 5K) program. It is a program (you can download the free app on your phone) that helps you go from being a couch potato to running a 5K.
Well, I guess I am more out of shape than I thought! I felt like I was going to die after my 30 minute session of walking/jogging intervals!! ~Yikes!~ Though, I must say, I feel great now! *Seriously*, I have energy! Which is how I got my mountain of laundry folded this evening! I am pumped and excited to continue! I have really let myself go the last few years. I can no longer continue buying new jeans because I am out-growing them! It's time I get off my rump and do something about it..and I think it will really help my energy level and motivation. I'll keep you posted on my progress. And if there is anyone who has been needing to put a little "physical activity" in thier routine! Let's root each other on!

Ok...so enough about me! What do you think about this months Paper Pumpkin?

It has definitely gotten mixed reviews! As for me...I actually like it a-lot! I mean...hello!!?? Who couldn't use a card that says "You kick booty" at some point in thier life? I know I sure could! We all could! It's perfect for occasions when someone has accomplished a goal or for someone going through a hard time! It's like a pat on the back through the mail! Now, the "love your guts"....not so sure about that one for me, but it is definitely a good one for the younger crowd!

Thanks

Hi stampers! Quick post to share ths card I made using inspiration from our Stampin' Success magazine. I loved the layout but didn't have the stamp they used...so I had to improvise with a Sale-a-Bration stamp that is no longer available. There are many, many sentiments that would work for this card but I LOVE this stamp and hadn't got it out of my system quite yet! I'm sure I will soon as the new 2013-2014 catalog is coming out soon-and it is PACKED with lots of new products! Eeeeeek! Contact me if you would like a new catalog!

Ok, now back to the card!

Supplies I used:
Cardstock-Pool Party, Whisper White, Calypso Coral
DSP-Epic Day
Stamps-Vintage Verses (Sale-a-Bration)
Ink-Primrose Petals, Calypso Coral, Pool Party
Tools-Stampin' Trimmer, Edgelits, Polka Dots Embossing Folder
Pretties-Silver Glimmer Paper, Vintage Button, Whisper White Twine, Doilie, Pearl

Don't forget to check out the retiring list! It's 'while supplies last' and some things are going fast! Once they're gone...they're gone. And some products are up to 60% off!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
